Button Down + Pants

If you are looking for an edgy look, sleeveless is the option for you! In my opinion skinny pants are the best thing to pair the button down with. If you want more edge choose a more leathery option.

This looks can have a vintage 60s feeling with the right modern edge. Here is what you need to get the look

Shirt: METROPARK  Pants: Miu Miu Shoes: TOPSHOP  Bag: THE ROW Sunglasses: Tom Ford

Button Down + Shorts

For this look I decided to use a short sleeve button down. I use to never pick this type of shirts because they reminded me of my private school days, back in elementary school. Thanks to Alexa Chung I started to open my heart to this style of shirt and find new modern ways to wear it, without looking like a school kid.

Button the top buttons and add a chunky statement necklace for a modern look. Here is what you need to get the look

Shirt: JIL SANDER Shorts: Sandro Shoes: Giuseppe Zanotti Necklace: Yochi Bag: LANVIN Ring: Kenneth Jay Lane

Happy Birthday Baguette!

No, not the bread!

Today Fendi is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its iconic bag by releasing a chic coffee table book (You know how fashionistas love coffee table books)

The book not only tell story of the fabulous bag but also showcases some of Silvia Venturini Fendi’s favorite Baguettes. Also inspired by the celebration six memorable styles of the Baguette bag will land in Fendi stores worldwide.

One of the eight contributors of the book is of course  SJP.  Let’s not forget how in the early days of the baguette, her character Carrie Bradshaw was one of the biggest Baguette addict. Remember the episode were  she gets mugged?

”Having the Fendi Baguette was a very big deal, and the gateway to everything else. It really opened the floodgates and influenced the storyline—especially Carrie’s habit of spending more money on fashion than her home,” she told the Times.

And as a true bag-aholic, of course I had to share my favorites with you guys! I especially love the make your own bag one!

P.S. How about if we finish with a poem to the baguette (seriously I’m not kidding), curtsey of Japanese writer Banana Yoshimoto

Tiny Friend

It wouldn’t suit me if it were even a smidgen bigger.
And if it were even a little smaller, it would double as an ornament.
We all find ourselves alone from time to time –
in a party, in a car, in a restaurant, or walking down the street.
We may not know why we are alone, or even why we are here.
In times like this, this bag will stay close beside
you like a puppy, like a parrot perching on your shoulder,
or like the doll you were never without in your childhood.
Yes, it stays with you just like a best friend.

Thursday Friday Together Bag

It might not be the Birkin version, but I finally found a Thursday Friday together bag.

I’ve dying over this little tote for ever (even before the Birkin scandal) but could never found them anywhere.

Finally today during a little shopping trip at tootsies I found this little neon yellow with (one of my faves) a Balenciaga bag! OBSESS!!!

Bag Crush: Spring 2012

Confession: For a while I was considering changing the name of the blog from Classy & Fabulous to Bag-aholic Anonymous.

I have an unhealthy addiction to bags! It is so difficult for me to go shopping and not come back with a cute bag.

Every season I have a crush on a bag that I am going INSANE for and this season is Reed Krakoff’s Boxer bag. Fabulous for work or play, perfect size and oh so stylish.

This Spring 2012 my heart goes to the Boxer!
